AirMax VS® Connectors

Amphenol FCI AirMax VS® Hard Metric connector family is comprised of the VS, VS2, and VSe backplane connectors as well as Hard Metric power connectors. The AirMax series ranges in speeds of 12.5Gb/s up to 25Gb/s and are backward compatible with existing AirMax designs allowing designers to easily upgrade to higher speed performance.

AirMax VS2e® High-Speed Backplane Connectors

Amphenol FCI AirMax VS2e® High-Speed Backplane Connectors provide a migration path for up to 25Gb/s per differential pair with the flexibility of an open-pin field design. The connectors also feature backward mating-compatible interfaces to existing AirMax VS® connectors with minimal changes to connector footprints. The connectors combine a shieldless design with no metallic plates and closely edge-coupled differential pairs with innovative design improvements to yield low loss and low crosstalk. The mating-compatible interfaces and the capability to preserve critical pin assignments can provide cost-effective opportunities as new or upgraded equipment is deployed.
