FSS-SMT Low Profile Force Sensors

Honeywell Sensing & Control FSS-SMT Low Profile Force Sensors are designed for high reliability, with a 20 million Mean Cycles to Failure (MCTF) at 25ºC (77ºF) rating. These low profile, Surface Mount Technology (SMT) devices allow for automated assembly on a printed circuit board, helping reduce assembly costs. The FSS-SMT Force Sensors incorporate Honeywell sensing technology that uses a specialized piezoresistive micromachined silicon sensing element. The low power, unamplified, uncompensated Wheatstone bridge circuit design provides inherently stable mV output over the force range.

Force Sensors

Honeywell Force Sensors measure the addition or backup of force, with proportional output and provide a 0.07% to 3% accuracy range. These PCB sensors are ideal for critical applications, such as IV drips or dialysis, or serious engineering, including robotic end effectors. With built-in stability and flexibility, Honeywell Force Sensors enhance performance and are offered in a broad line of force sensor options and outputs, including amplified, analog, voltage, and millivolt.

Honeywell Sensing and Control offers electronic sensors for any type of physical phenomenon that needs to be detected or measured. Honeywell's portfolio includes temperature, pressure, force, current, humidity, magnetic, motion and position sensors.
