Texas Instruments TPD4S014 single-chip solution for USB charger port protection offers low capacitance TVS type ESD clamps for the D+, D-, and standard capacitance for the ID pin. On the V_BUS pin, the TPD4S014 can handle over-voltage protection up to 28V. TPD4S014 charger port protection solution supports > 2A charging current and provides a low capacitance TVS ESD clamp for USB 2.0 high-speed data rate. This device features a 16ms turn-on delay after V_BUS crosses the under-voltage lockout threshold to let the voltage stabilize before closing the switch. This function acts as a de-glitch and prevents unnecessary switching if there is any ringing on the line during connection. The Texas Instruments TPD4S014 is ideal for use in cell phones, eBook applications, digital cameras, and portable media players.
