Most transceiver ports are empty when installed at an integration facility, and when not all of the connectors have transceivers to plug into, excess slack fiber and cable ends have no place to go. However, when ANS transceiver plugs are inserted into the empty transceiver ports, it not only keeps the dust out but also provides a place for LC and MPO connectors to be stored until needed in the future. Because of this design, structured cabling can be routed and secured with proper bend radius and tie-offs, removing the risk of cable management challenges.
