APR34509 Synchronous Rectification Switcher

Diodes Incorporated APR34509 Synchronous Rectification Switcher is a secondary side combo IC, which combines an N-channel MOSFET and a driver circuit. The APR34509 provides synchronous rectification in a small SO-8EP package. This synchronous rectifier improves efficiency with minimum BOM cost and solution size. The APR34509 supports CCM, DCM, and quasi-resonant modes. This switcher enhances the MOSFET to minimize conduction losses, eliminates resonant ring interference and detects the supply voltage very fast. The APR34509 is RoHS compliant and free from lead, halogen, and antimony-free. Applications include adapters/chargers for cell/cordless phones, ADSL modems, MP3 and other portable apparatus. The APR34509 is also used in standby and auxiliary power supplies.

Secondary Side SR Controllers

Diodes Inc. Secondary Side Synchronous Rectification (SR) Controllers are secondary-side MOSFET drivers for synchronous rectification in DCM operation. These devices can effectively reduce the secondary-side rectifier power dissipation and provide a high-performance solution. The N-Channel MOSFET has been optimized for low gate charge, low RDS(ON), fast switching speed, and body diode reverse recovery performance. By sensing the MOSFET drain-to-source voltage, these controllers can output an ideal drive signal with fewer external components.
