Bourns 1420A DC Power Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) are designed to protect power systems from lightning, transients, and power surges up to rated limits. These Din-Rail mountable SPDs protect DC power systems operating up to 1500VDC. The 1420A SPDs include high-energy MOV technology with an advanced thermal disconnector (TD+), status indicator, replaceable modular design, and remote signaling capability. These SPDs feature <50μA leakage current, 20kA UL nominal discharge current (15 impulses 8/20μs), and 50kA maximum discharge current (1 impulse 8/20μs). The 1420A SPDs operate within the -40°C to 85°C temperature range and comply with RoHS and UL 1449 standards. Typical applications include DC power systems, photovoltaic systems, and EV charging stations.
