TEMx Ambient Light Sensors

Vishay Semiconductors TEMx Ambient Light Sensors are AEC-Q101 qualified, have a surface-mount design, and are available in 0805 and 1206 packages. These PIN or NPN phototransistors come in various miniature packages, such as transparent, flat plastic, and surface mount. The TEMD5510FX01 sensor features a detector chip with a 7.5mm2 sensitive area and is sensitive to visible light with a 540nm sensitivity peak. The TEMT6200FX01 module is adapted to human eye responsivity and has an impression filter for near-infrared radiation. The TEMD6010FX01 ambient light sensor offers high speed and high photosensitivity in a clear, surface-mount plastic package. The TEMD6200FX01 is a high-speed and high-sensitive PIN photodiode, and its spectral sensitivity is closely matched to the human eye. Vishay Semiconductors TEMx Ambient Light Sensors are suitable for automotive sensors, mobile phones, backlight dimming, and computers.

Optical Sensors

TEMD6200FX01 Ambient Light Sensor

The Vishay Semiconductors TEMD6200FX01 ambient light sensor features spectral sensitivity that allows it to react like the human eye. The TEMD6200FX01 allows automatic control of LCD brightness and enables a number of advanced automotive driver comfort and safety features. This Vishay Semiconductors ambient light sensor comes in a low-profile package with a height of just 0.85mm and features key benefits, including photodiode output for improved lot-to-lot performance and repeatable response over a wider temperature range compared to phototransistors. The TEMD6200FX01 ambient light sensor also reduces power consumption in consumer electronics applications by controlling keypad backlights and adjusting the brightness of LCDs. This Vishay Semiconductors device enables automatic headlight control, tunnel sensors, and displays that adjust automatically to changes in ambient brightness.
