ADS1298 Analog Front End

Texas Instruments ADS1298 Analog Front-End (AFE) devices for biopotential measurements features eight low-noise programmable gain amplifiers (PGAs) and eight high-resolution analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). These TI 24-bit ADCs with built-in PGAs incorporate all of the features commonly required in medical ECG and EEG applications. TI ADS1298 AFE devices have a flexible input multiplexer per channel that can be independently connected to the internally-generated signals for test, temperature, and lead-off detection. Multiple ADS1298 devices can be cascaded in high channel count systems in a daisy-chain configuration.

ADS1298ECGFE-PDK Demonstration Kit

The Texas Instruments ADS1298ECGFE-PDK Front-End Performance Demonstration Kit evaluates the ADS1298 low-power, 24-bit, simultaneously sampling, eight-channel front-end for ECG and EEG applications. The TI ADS1298ECGFE-PDK is not a reference design for ECG and EEG applications but is intended to expedite evaluation and system development. The ADS1298ECGFE-PDK Performance Demonstration Kit can be used with a variety of patient simulators and allows the user to take advantage of the flexible input multiplexer which can be independently connected to the internally-generated signals for test, temperature, and lead-off detection. The TI ADS1298ECGFE-PDK includes built-in analysis tools, including oscilloscope, FFT, and histogram displays
