Interface Adapters

Western Design Center (WDC) interface adapters are designed to be easily implemented, program controlled interfaces between 8-bit microprocessor based systems and serial communication data sets and modems. WDC interface adapters include Asynchronous Communications Interface Adapter (ACIA), Peripheral Interface Adapter (PIA), and Versatile Interface Adapters (VIA). Each adapter type is designed to help interface between 8-bit microprocessors and various peripheral devices.
