DFRobot Fermion SEN0695 Compact 9DOF IMU Sensor
DFRobot Fermion SEN0695 Compact 9DOF Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) Sensor combines the Bosch BMI323 6-axis IMU and Bosch BMM350 3-axis magnetometer to provide accurate motion, orientation, and heading data in a compact 24mm × 19mm module. The sensor measures acceleration, angular velocity, and magnetic fields, making the device ideal for electronic compasses, mobile robots, wearable devices, and handheld motion-control systems. The sensor features a high-speed I2C interface, programmable interrupts, and support for Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32 development platforms.
Designed for low-power embedded applications, the DFRobot Fermion SEN0695 operates with 0.92mA typical current consumption and as little as 0.37mA in Low Power mode. The BMI323 delivers 16-bit accelerometer and gyroscope data at rates up to 6400Hz, while the BMM350 magnetometer supports output rates up to 400Hz with high magnetic sensitivity. Built-in hardware functions, including step counting, tap detection, tilt sensing, free-fall detection, and activity recognition, simplify motion-aware designs. A 2048-byte FIFO buffer helps maintain reliable data capture during high-speed operation, enabling efficient sensor fusion and real-time motion tracking.
