onsemi / Fairchild FOD8012A Logic Gate Optocouplers are half-duplex, bi-directional, and high-speed devices that support isolated communications. These optocouplers allow digital signals to communicate between systems without conducting ground loops or hazardous voltages. The FOD8012A optocouplers use Octoplanar® coplanar packaging technology and optimized IC design to achieve a minimum 20kV/µs Common Mode Noise Rejection (CMR) rating. These optocouplers are highly integrated with two optically coupled channels arranged in bi-directional configuration and housed in a compact 8-pin small outline package. Typical applications include industrial fieldbus communications, microprocessor system interface, and programmable logic control.
