Molex Lite-Trap Connector System
Molex Lite-Trap and Mini Lite-Trap SMT wire-to-board connectors offer profile heights down to 2.65mm, easy wire removal, low wire insertion, and high wire retention forces, making them ideal for thin LED lighting-module applications. Molex Lite-Trap connectors employ an easy-to-use latch that can be opened or closed even without using a tool. The Lite-Trap's housing design enables the use of a wider insulation-length range than similar products. This feature, coupled with a dual-contact wire-trap design, provides stable wire seating and electrical contact assurance. Available options include standard, mini, vertical entry, bottom entry, and contact terminals.The termination method features gate-style terminals that trap the stripped wire. To unmate, a simple button-style lever on the housing top disengages the wire. No separate tools are required. Ideal applications include downlighting, strip lighting, factory automation equipment, and consumer electronics.
