NXP Semiconductors UJA113xA System Basis Chips (SBCs) are ideal for automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs). The NXP Semiconductors UJA113xA SBCs include an integrated SMPS buck-boost converter, a high-speed CAN transceiver, and up to two LIN transceivers. The SBCs interface directly with CAN and LIN bus lines, power the microcontroller, manage input/output signals, and offer fail-safe features like a watchdog and configurable 'limp home' functionality stored in non-volatile memory.Features

- ±6kV ESD protection according to the Human Body Model (HBM) on the CAN/LIN bus pins
- ±6kV ESD protection according to IEC 61000-4-2 on the CAN/LIN bus pins, the sensor supply output (VEXT), and the HVIO pins
- ±40V short-circuit proof CAN/LIN bus pins
- Battery and CAN/LIN bus pins are protected against transients per ISO 7637-3
- Integrated buck/boost converter (SMPS)
- Automatic buck or boost mode selection depending on input voltage and output load condition functions with a single external coil
- SMPS functions as a pre-regulator for V1 and, optionally, V2
- SMPS can be used to supply external loads directly
- Low-drop voltage regulators (LDOs)
- V1 voltage regulator 5V or 3.3V with 500mA output current capability
- V2 auxiliary voltage regulator 5V with 100mA output current capability
- V2 is protected against shorts to GND and battery for off-board loads
- A/D converter for monitoring the battery voltage
- Two channels: 10-bit resolution, accurate to ±300mV at 20V full-scale
