Renesas Electronics Dexterous Robotic Hand
Renesas Dexterous Robotic Hand is a system-level robotics solution that supports a range of robotic hand architectures for fine motor movement, joint articulation, and responsive hand-level control. The solution is available in multiple implementations to meet different end-application needs, from comprehensive, high-performance hand systems to more compact, modular joint-control designs.
The high-performance architecture supports up to 17 degrees of freedom, integrated sensors for system feedback, and multiple motor control subsystems that drive hand, wrist, and finger motion. The Renesas Dexterous Robotic Hand also supports modular joint-control implementations for simplified movement, including single- or dual-motor control in an ultra-compact form factor, depending on the selected processor.
System-level benefits include real-time closed-loop performance, flexible motor-control scaling, and industrial interfaces such as USB, EtherCAT, and RS-485. Furthermore, the solution integrates motor-drive protection features, including overcurrent and thermal shutdown. The solution is designed for seamless integration into robotic arms, humanoid robots, and other advanced robotic manipulation platforms.
