Sierra Wireless / Semtech FX30 Octave™ Programmable IoT Cellular Gateways are small, rugged programmable IoT gateways designed for mission-critical industrial applications. The FX30 and FX30S 3G/4G LTE cellular gateways provide a rich set of IoT Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) in a secure, embedded application environment that integrates tightly with the cloud. These devices enable swift, scalable/global deployments of IoT applications for any connected machine or infrastructure. The gateways ship with Octave, Sierra Wireless’ all-in-one edge-to-cloud solution that helps scale from proof of concept to commercial deployment.

Offering unparalleled flexibility, the FX30 devices are available in both Ethernet and serial variants and support a variety of industrial protocols such as Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP. An IoT connector expansion slot is also available for hardware extensions such as CANopen and additional GPIOs. Offering best-in-class low power consumption, the devices consume less than 1W in idle mode and 2mW in ultra-low power mode, making them ideal for solar and battery-powered applications. FX30 Octave includes a SIM pre-provisioned for global connectivity and an
innovative pay-as-you-go pricing model, significantly reducing the logistics of SIM procurement and data plan management.
