Texas Instruments bq25611DEVM Battery Charger Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments bq25611DEVM Battery Charger Evaluation Module (EVM) is designed to evaluate the bq25611D device. The bq25611D device is a 3A single-cell battery charger optimized for power bank applications in low-power portable designs. The OTG reverse synchronous boost operation and forward buck mode operation allow for control over power delivery to peripherally powered devices. It also features USB BC1.2 and non-standard adapter detection.

The Texas Instruments bq25611DEVM does not include an EV2300/EV2400 interface board. To evaluate the evaluation module, an EV2300/EV2400 interface board must be ordered separately.

Features

  • 92% charge efficiency at 2A from 5V input and 92% boost efficiency at 1A output
  • Output short circuit protection and soft-start up to 500µF capacitive load in OTG mode
  • 10µA low battery leakage current with system voltage standby 3µA low battery leakage current in ship mode
  • BATFET control to support ship mode, wake-up, and full system reset
  • High accuracy 20mA ±10mA termination current
  • USB BC1.2 and non-standard adapter detection
