Texas Instruments TXB0606 Auto-Bidirectional Level Translators

Texas Instruments TXB0606 Auto-Bidirectional Level Translators are 6-bit non-inverting autobidirectional translator that uses two separate configurable power-supply rails. These translators can be used to remedy voltage-domain mismatches and to boost signals in long-cabling transmission applications. The TXB0606 translators leverage a patented design to achieve high data throughput for memory-intensive interfaces without signal integrity losses associated with excessive output parasitic capacitance. These auto-bidirectional translators support high-speed interfaces such as QSPI, OSPI, and eSPI. Typical applications include data center and enterprise computing, desktop PC, and personal electronics.

Features

  • 0.9V to 2V on A port and 1.65V to 3.6V on B port
  • Minimum data rates:
    • >130Mbps (15pF load, 1.8V to 3.3V)
    • >100Mbps (100pF load, 1.8V to 3.3V)
  • Supports high-speed interfaces such as QSPI, OSPI, eSPI
  • VCCA <, =, > VCCB is acceptable
  • No direction control signal needed
  • VCC isolation feature: if either VCC input is at GND, all outputs are in the high-impedance state
  • Schmitt-trigger inputs allow for slow or noisy inputs
  • Output Enable (OE) input circuit referenced to VCCA
  • IOFF supports partial power-down mode operation
  • Latch-up performance exceeds 100mA per JESD 78, Class II
  • ESD protection exceeds JESD 22
